Reds Racing Tips 11-12

Morning all,

Another great day yesterday with ten winners in total and a profit of 15 points. Both Tracker horses won and Min was especially impressive. He didn't beat a whole lot, but he looks a proper horse and it seems that Willie Mullins and Rich Ricci have done it again. Earlier on the card, Thomas Hobson showed why he reminds Ricci of Faugheen with some ropey jumping, but a big engine. Third Best bet of the day Kilcrea fell just short of landing the odds, but still brought in some each way money in second, while the next best Cyclop absolutely romped home. The nap in Barrakilla was undone however and could only manage second after his lengthy layoff.

For today, we head back to Cheltenham for four tracker horses and the one I'm most looking forward to is Valadom. He ran a cracker last time over the same C&D, running off the front, but just running out of steam in the home turn. He still managed a place in fourth, thanks to Dogora unseating and he's priced at a massive 66/1. I don't think he'll win. I think he'll struggle to place. But if he runs like last time and he can stay the trip he could make his mark.

As for the three best bets, I've got a few that I think should certainly hit the frame. The NAP is A Hare Breath who was very impressive last time out, landing a big gamble for Ben Pauling. It's a tricky race, but the booking of Barry Geraghty is eye-catching and with a win already under his belt at Cheltenham, he's taken to follow up.

The next best is Kalifourchon in the last at Doncaster. He's not an obvious pick, but his form reads very strong figures of 1211 before his last outing where he unseated his rider. If you can forgive him that run, he should have an excellent chance. The Pipe yard are coming back into form and David Noonan is excellent value for his five lbs claim. Conditions are likely to suit and at a best price of 15/2, it's a cracking bet.

For the third best, we go back to Cheltenham and I think The Druids Nephew is a big price at 13/2. He won at the festival in March in similar conditions, perhaps slightly better ground, under Geraghty and Barry is back on board to pilot today. He's had a little run out over hurdles at Wetherby and that could well put him on the spot for this. He's got some tough rivals to contend with, but at this price, I feel he represents a bit of value.
