Reds Racing Tips 06-12

Morning all,

A great days racing yesterday, albeit not a very profitable one for myself. I did manage to find an 8/1 winner and the 3B landed at 13/8. Three meetings today and we'll get right to the selections.

The Nap today is Djakadam who runs in the John Durkan over in Ireland. He really is a classy horse and has the capabilities of winning this if he's fully tuned up. Mullins' runners have been in need of the run lately, so it's not all clear cut in a strong race, but the selection showed in the Gold Cup this year at Cheltenham what he is capable of, finishing second to Coneygree.

The next best is Halo Moon in the last at Huntingdon. I've put this horse up a few times, only for the meeting to be cancelled or him to be pulled out of the race. He's bumped into one on both his previous races, but he's a good jumper and should take well to this track. Conditions are fine and he should run a big race at 3/1

Finally, in the 1.25 at Huntingon, Cusheen Bridge could well outrun odds of 9/1. He's down in trip from his career best at Cheltenham, but that is no concern. He should enjoy conditions and has won at this track before. 9/1 is a big price for a horse with those credentials and is a nice piece of each way value.

Finally, one to look out for in the penultimate race at Huntingdon is La Bague Au Roi. Warren Greatex has a very high opinion of this horse and she was impressive last time out at Aintree. I'm expecting another big race from her here and you can get better than odds on prices with some bookies and that could well be a spot of value.
