Morning all,
An excellent day yesterday, with winners tipped at 16/1 and 14/1. The second of them, Lady of Longstone, put in an impressive performance running off the front and then finding more under pressure to keep of any challengers to win by six lengths. The most impressive performance of the day however, came from Vaniteux who utterly destroyed what looked like a decent field. Jumping stylishly, he went on to win by nearly 20 lengths. His price for the Arkle was swiftly cut on the back of that display and it was easy to see why. It wasn't all fun for Nicky Henderson though, as Polly Peachum was upset in the Mares Hurdle and beaten by Morello Royale for the in-form Colin Tizzard.
Looking forwards to today's action and the cupboard is a bit bare. Halo Moon should have the beating of all his rivals in the 1.30 at Lingfield and I've napped him accordingly, while Amenable is probably the best horse in a terrible race in the 3.40 at Southwell. He's also the only one proven to stay the distance and he would be my next best.
