Morning all,
A decent day yesterday, helped by some of the selections drifting from their morning prices to grab us a couple extra quid with best odds. A few nice types as well, the likes of Vinciaettis and Afjaan out on show. In other news elsewhere, Coneygree may have to miss the Hennessy, which will make it a fascinating contest. At the same time, only seven were entered for the Betfair chase, with no runners coming over from Ireland, sadly. I guess the million pound bonus is irrelevant to most owners, or they feel they could never win all three. But you have to give yourself a chance, surely?
For Tuesday, the Irish meeting at Wexford has been abandoned due to waterlogging, which is a shame as I believe Willie Mullins' Min was set to make his eagerly anticipated debut there. Back over in the UK, there's three meetings, two over jumps and one on the all weather and the Lingfield card looks pretty decent with some nice horses out on show and some long odds for some of them!
