A solitary jumps meeting at Stratford today and I reckon it'll be a good day for the favourites. The NAP today is Gowanauthat, who has been in superb form this season, racking up four wins in a row. He still seems ahead of the handicapper despite another weight rise and he's a very good jumper. He comes here off bottom weight and although he steps up in trip, I don't think the extra furlong and a bit will inconvenience him.
Elsewhere, there's two Frankel's taking each other on in the 2.25 at Haydock, although they might not be obvious selections. Cunco in particular is a bit boisterous, like his dad in the early days, but if he can settle, he could still run a good race. He was a beaten favourite last time out, but it's significant to me that Frankie Dettori has been booked by John Gosden for the first time. That makes me prefer him over the other Frankel, Frankuus, although that one did make a winning debut here at Haydock.
Finally in a very exciting looking Sprint Cup, I'm going to chance two. First of all, Quiet Reflection looks exciting as ever. She won over C&D in the Sandy Lane before winning at Ascot and hopefully she can turn the tables on Limato. The other I like is Magical Memory. He's had excuses the last two times and if he gets a clear run, he could get a lot closer at the line.
