Reds Racing Tips 01-09

Morning all, 

Not a fantastic day yesterday, with a couple of horses going close,but not quite getting there. Still, Doitforjoe was a winning NAP and the NB was placed at 8/1 for a small return. 

Racing today is diabolical. The only excitement perhaps will be for Frankel colt Swiss Storm over at Haydock. He's apparently been burning up the gallops at home and should continue Frankel's excellent start as a stallion. Another two-year old I like the look of, runs over at Salisbury. Elliptical belied odds of 16/1 to win at Newmarket on debut and she's still 9/1 (BetBright) to follow up in the 3.40. Some nice types in this race, but I think she'll carry on her good start and make the frame. 

I've started with the flat, because the jumps racing is even less inspiring. Despite plenty of NH talk buzzing around twitter last night, today's card at Sedgefield is nothing to get excited about. The opener is not too bad, and I fancy Skylander in a decent class three hurdles race. He won well at Worcester last time out and gave the impression to have more in the tank than what he showed there. Other last time out winners Omid and Luccombe Down would be the main dangers, but I fancy David Pipe's horse to edge them out.
