A good day if you followed my picks at Sedgefield, as that would've landed you the place pot. Shame we had three seconds with only one of them being an each way bet, but still a decent profit if you played the place pot. A big rule four in the last cost us pretty much all the profit for the day though. The named selections were pretty disappointing. Skylander could only manage second after nearly unseating Michael Heard, while Frankel's Swiss Storm was bitterly disappointing.
Only one jumps meeting today, over in Ireland at Kilbeggan, but it's pretty low-grade stuff and not much to get excited about. Happy to give that a miss therefore. There's not much else that catches the eye either. There's another Frankel foal out at Haydock, Harba in the 2.45 and she makes some appeal, although she's no price at evens and she might get upset by Eartha Kitt for Dascombe and Kingscote, who had a good day yesterday. At Kempton, Etikaal makes some appeal in the 6.30. Sepoy has been doing well with his newcomers and this one looks well bred for Sheikh Hamdam.
But all in all, I don't think today is a day to get involved for me, so I won't offer up anything specifically.
