we got back on track yesterday, with over 30 points of profit, mainly thanks to four winners at Chelmsford in the evening. There were some unfortunate fallers, which cost me as both the Tracker horse and the NB were undone by going over while leading. The NAP couldn't quite get home and finished second, but the third best won at 13/2 to give us a tidy profit for the day.
Today's racing is once again all about the all weather as my local track Sedgefield got called off. We start over in Ireland for the NAP, in a competitive race at Dundalk's 8.30.
Taglietelle has been running well over hurdles, but this very much remains within his scope. He won his last appearance over C&D in November before running in two hurdles races and could have enough about him to see off British raider Duchess of Marmite. The booking of Pat Smullen is an obvious positive.
The Next Best comes from the day's only jump meeting and I fancy L'Unique to run a big race. He drops down from Graded company after finishing fourth in the Kauto Star on Boxing Day and Alan King has found him a nice little opening here.
Finally we go to Lingfield's opener where Etaad is the selection. Another who drops down in grade, he has won at this course before. He wasn't seen to best effect last time out at Chelmsford and a return to familiar surroundings may get the most of out him here.
