Reds Racing Tips 09-01

Morning all,

Yesterday was a mixed bag with some decent winners, some near misses and some downright awful picks. All that saw me end well into the red for the day, so hoping for better today. Welsh National today, as well as a good card at Kempton. 

Four tracker horses set to go today and the one that will draw the most attention will be Min for Willie Mullins over at Punchestown. Already a hot favourite for the supreme, the market seems to think he'll cruise home to victory today. In the race after that, Blast of Koeman is an interesting runner. He finished well in a bumper last April and had enough about him to keep an eye out for him in the future. Ptit Zig ran well behind Vautour last time out. He's not the most fluent of jumpers, but should be the class act in the field. Finally Adrien Du Pont ran well in defeat at Cheltenham  last time and with the Nicholls yard picking up in form he could pop up again here. 

The best three bets for today are as follows. The NAP gets us underway in Chepstow where Maxanisi will be the one to beat for Evan Williams. Two wins from two, both in heavy ground, here and at Ffos Las, pulling away from a subsequent winner at the former. He has shown his liking for the going and he can defy a penalty. The step up in trip holds no concerns and he should be there or thereabouts.

The Next Best runs in the last at Lingfield. Wavelet didn't need to be at her best to score over C&D last time out and could well follow up in handicap company. Still unexposed, this filly is open to improvement. The Simcock yard is in pretty decent shape of late and could well add another winner her.

Finally, we go to Kempton for their closing hurdles race. Tara Bridge was only narrowly beaten by Dormouse at Lingfield last time out and that rival has gone up six pounds while the selection has stayed on the same mark. He jumped out to the left two out, which saw him lose his place and a clean round of jumping this time will see him in better stead.
