Evening all,
Pretty good day on Wednesday with nearly fourteen points profit, including winners at 15/2 and 7/1. The best three bets were disappointing though, The NAP & the NB both couldn't quite get home, finishing second and Guantoshol was never in the race, finishing eighth.
No tracker horses are set to go on Thursday's three meetings. We start with Towcester over jumps followed by Lingfield and Chelmsford City in the evening. The first two of the best bets run at Towcester. It's a track with a tricky finish and proven stayers are important. The NAP is Chankillo in the first. One of two seven year olds in the field, he has won over further than the two mile trip that he's at today and that will stand him in good stead. He's won two out of his last four races and had winners behind on each of those occasions. The booking of Sam Twiston-Davies is a plus and he has the ability to go in again off his higher mark.
The Next Best runs in the last at Towcester. It's another Sam Twiston-Davies ride. Briac finished third in the all weather bumper at Lingfield last time out, losing the lead close to home, but the speed test didn't really suit. His previous efforts of second and third were all behind winners next time out and he shaped well on those occasions. The stamina test this time should be more suitable and he could go one better on this occasion.
Mick Duggan has won two out of his three starts over two miles, placing on the other. He's never ran at Chelmsford City before, but his two wins both came on the similar surface at Lingfield. His placed effort was behind Cotillion, who won twice over hurdles since then. Luke Morris is an excellent jockey, especially on the All Weather and he has an excellent chance of another winner here.
