Reds Racing Tips 05-01-16

Morning all,

Rough day yesterday, only three winners, one of them being the 3B. The NAP and the NB both placed, but not at odds good enough to get us any place money as they were all less than 5/1 and thus straight win bets.

Today's fare is very light, just the two all weather meetings and it's pretty low-grade stuff. It looks a decent day for the favs, although there may be one or two decent big price runners.

The NAP is Timia in the last at Lingfield. It's Ed Dunlop's only runner on the card and he seems to have found her a winnable race of an opening mark of 64. There was some promise evident in her earlier runs in defeat, including a fifth over C&D last time out so she will be the selection

The other two selections for today come from Southwell. In the first I've taken Parisianna to win for Richard Fahey. He had an excellent year last year and can build on that here today. The selection didn't show much on previous outings, but a step up in handicap company over a longer trip may just be what the doctor ordered.

In the third at Southwell, I fancy Philba to make the most of bottom weight. A winner over C&D for the in-form Mick Appleby yard, this gelding is on the upgrade and could well go in again today.
