Reds Racing Tips 24-02

Evening all,

a decent enough day on Tuesday sees us back in positive territory with just over eight points profit and a winning NB at 9/2. The NAP could only managed second and the 3B was well down the field, so it wasn't all sunshine and roses, but still.

A good card at Doncaster for Wednesday and a decent one at Ludlow too, so plenty for us jumps enthausiasts to get stuck into and the AW isn't too bad either. We start off at Donny where I have one tracker horse running in Fingerontheswitch. He won at Worcester in October before finishing a decent fourth to Unowhatimeanharry at Cheltenham, but then disappointed on his latest start at the same venue over slightly further. Noel Fehily takes the ride again (having been on board at Worcester) and hopefully that can spark some winning form.

From there we head over to Ludlow where Thoonavolla is the NAP. He ran reasonably well in points over Ireland and the UK before finishing a good second at Leicester to Truckers Highway. He gets in with a really low weight compared to some of his rivals and he could well make that count if he's in similar form. Adam Wedge is a good jockey and I think the step up in trip will suit this horse.

Next, we go to Kempton where I think it's Lutine Charlie's time for a win. He's getting closer and closer, only denied a nose last time and although it's been a while since he's got his head in front, he's clearly in good heart at this time. He has gone up another four lbs, so you have to consider that, but I think he can finally break his dry spell here.

Finally Trapper Peak at Ludlow should have more to come over fences. He was second at Fakenham in January on his last start for Caroline Bailey, behind Cotillion, who has won again since then and had another subsequent winner behind that day. He could only manage fourth on his debut for his new yard, but ran reasonably well and could improve for that. He emptied quickly on that occasion and the step back in trip could help him to see out the race better.
