Morning all,
The first day of February yielded four points of profit and a winning NB and 3B. The NAP could only manage second, but still a decent start to the new month.
Only two meetings today, with Lingfield abandoned due to the weather/course condition. I've picked two from the jumps meeting at Taunton, but keep an eye out for Flymetothestars over at Southwell. It's a race with a highly fancied John Gosden runner as the favourite, but I think this colt could be a good thing.
The NAP today is Vic De Touzaine in the 3.15 at Taunton. He's one with potential to be better than this lot. He drops down in trip and grade and although he has to run of top weight, he could be suited to the conditions. Venetia Williams remains in decent nick and especially in these conditions, she's one to side with.
Next Best would be Winged Express for Ian Popham and Alex Dunn. The seven year old switches back from Chase to Hurdles and won last time out in this discipline before finishing second on his latest chase outing. He beat Norse Light by eleven lengths on that occasion and that horse won pretty well last week. Plenty to like about this one then.
