Reds Racing Tips 09-12

Morning all,

A profitable day yesterday, with both the NAP (April Dusk) and the one tracker horse (Utility) winning and a couple of nice winners that drifted from the advised price in the morning. Unfortunately, Vic De Touzaine made a mistake at the last, which cost me a winning Next Best as well while Amenable could only manage third. Aubusson was another yet impressive winner for Nick Williams and Lizzie Kelly and the future is bright for the yard with a couple of impressive winners at the weekend as well.

Looking forward to today, we're without Hexam's meeting due to partial flooding of the course, but there's still three meetings to get stuck into. The NAP and the NB both run at Leicester today, and it's tracker horse Hedley Lamarr that gets the vote as the best bet of the day. The five-year old was below par on his reappearance, shaping well until two out, but that run should've helped him to come on a bit fitness wise. He goes well on soft ground, as demonstrated by a win and a second at the start of the year and has the benefit of the champion elect jockey on board in Richard Johnson. The main danger would be Ben Pauling's Space Walker, but I feel there's more improvement to come from Hedley Lamarr.

The NB runs earlier on the card and it's course and distance winner Edward Elgar. He hasn't got the most straightforward profile and certainly didn't break any records on the flat, but a move to a new yard and the in-form Harry Skelton on board could well eke out some more improvement over his win last time out. There's a slight concern about the ground I'm going to take Edward Elgar to follow up his success from last month.

Finally the third best runs at Kempton in the 7.10 and is Marcus Tregoning's Clovelly Bay. The four year old gelding won last time out at Chelmsford City staying on strongly under Hayley Turner. Tim Murphy is on board today and although I'm not a fan of his, the selection might still get the job done regardless. At 6/1 he's a decent price to go for.

Here's the full list, good luck with your selections.
